| Dear ?????, Just a reminder of tomorrow's (Tuesday, 15th August) book launch. Citizen Hariri: Lebanon's Neoliberal Reconstruction, by Hannes Baumann (Liverpool University, UK). This book assesses the legacy of the man dubbed 'Mr Lebanon' and charts the social and economic transformations his rise represented. At this event, author will be in discussion with Taufic Haddad (independent Palestinian-American researcher) who will draw out how similar social and economic transformations have taken place in the occupied Palestinian territory. The event will be at the Kenyon Institute Garden in Sheikh Jarrah, starting at 6:30. This is a joint event between the Kenyon Institute, the Educational Bookshop and Dar al-Tifel al-Arabi.
