Dear ?????, A number of recent political developments have occurred that constitute a formidable challenge to UNRWA, the UN agency mandated to protect the rights of Palestine refugees. This event with Professor Michael Dumper (Exeter University) and Ingrid Jaradat Gassner (former director of the Badil Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights) will discuss these challenges and how UNRWA and its stakeholders - the Palestinian refugees, the hosts countries and the donors - can best respond to these changes in a way which both safeguards Palestinian refugee rights and provides a sustainable and viable framework for the delivery of services. Join us tomorrow, Tuesday 30th August, at the Kenyon Institute starting at 6:30 pm. And if you in Ramallah today, dont forget to come to hear author Ben Ehrenreich at the launch of his new book The Way to the Spring, Life and Death in Palestine. One of the most important recent publication on Palestine. It is neither apologetic nor romanticized, but a powerful and brilliantly realized scream of a book, scorching and tender, from a journalist whose anger and empathy burn through every word. The event will be at the French-German Cultural Centre starting at 6:30. Today Monday the 29th August. Stay tuned, look below for more details, and have a look at our facebook page for updates. Looking forward to seeing you, Salamat Imad Muna 02-6283704 |
